Clipper Round the World Yacht Race
Following the success of the Volvo Ocean Race in 2009, don’t miss out on the action in Kinsale, County Cork this year when these magnioficent yachts stopover on their gruelling 10 month schedule. The event takes place from 04 – 10 July 2010. The event is followed by the Cork Week Sailing Festival which tales place in Cork City from 10 – 16 july 2010.

Irish Open Golf Tournament
Did you know that Killarney is not that far from Cork. so if you are holidaying in Cork this year you might want to consider a visit to the next door county.

The lakes and mountains of Killarney are the backdrop to this year’s Irish Open which takes place in Killarney, County Kerry from 29 July – 01 August 2010. It is an important event on the tour this year as it comes just before the Ryder Cup teams are announced. This year it falls a holiday weeken in Ireland so there will be lots of entertainment and fun in Killarney!

Cork Jazz Festival
The best Irish and International jazz acts will all be in Cork for this years festival which runs from 22 – 25 October in Cork city. This festival has been running for over 30 years and is one of the best of its kind in the world.
